Te Wakaminenga o Nga Hapu o Nu Tireni
Te Wakaminenga o Nga Hapu re-emerged as Te Wakaminenga National Congress – dedicated to reinstating the rightful constitutional governance of Nu Tireni – New Zealand. Since 1835, the chiefs of Aotearoa declared their sovereignty through He Wakaputanga, the Declaration of Independence. However, the signing of Te Tiriti in 1840 unlawfully disrupted their authority, leading to injustices under colonial rule. Now, through Wakaminenga Government, this movement seeks to restore de jure jurisdiction, welcoming all who wish to stand together in a fair, self-governing Nu Tireni.
In a time of global uncertainty, we call for unity and resurgence. As oppressive systems continue to affect all people, we extend our work across the land—eradicating poverty, fostering progress, and ensuring prosperity for all. Under the guiding principles of He Wakaputanga, we strive for a future where justice, self-determination, and true independence thrive.
